So my makeup school fell to the back burner as I was in real makeup school and consumed with fashion posts, but I’m bringing it back this week with our third week of ‘school’.  For those of you who may have just started reading, I’m taking everyone through some basics of beauty.  I’m highlighting some of my favorite go to game changer products and then I’ll be going into detail about how to use them once I get you through the ‘alphabet’.  Here are my L through Q… L –

I’m holding out for an IRO till the end of time.  But for reals holy holey shirts.  This is my new favorite go to. Shirt: IRO I love all the colors but I’m particularly loving this dusty rose shade and the classic white.  What’s awesome too about these shirts is how they wear.  The holes get larger and larger as you continue wearing them, and in my opinion, you look cooler and cooler…I feel like some sort of wanderlust cowgirl in my older ones.  I get mine at my favorite boutique in

Tee: Enza Costa // Jeans: Frame // Boots: Old Gringo I enjoy dressing like a vagabond sometimes.  And isn’t is funny how the more worn out an item is the pricier it tends to be?  I mean if we all had just kept all our dang clothes from high school we’d be set.  But I don’t fit into my clothes from high school so I’ve found some more that I feel are tried and true.  I’ve compiled a few of my favorite ‘worn out’ pieces…and brought along my favorite vintage

Dress: Calypso // Clutch: Lizzie Fortunado // Necklace: Lizzie Fortunado // Shoes: Monolo Blahnik // (click photos below for link to purchase) Raise your hand if you’re the person who carries the same bag for all occasions?  That is definatley  me.  I am the person in a formal gown or at a wedding reception with a huge bucket bag looking like I’m trying to rack up on wedding favors or something.  Well, here’s the thing I’ve learned…a clutch can make an entire outfit.  In comes the coolest…Lizzie Fortunato.  And I’m wearing her

So, as I promised last week I’m teaching you my ABC’s of beauty as I prepare you for the tutorials.  Here are some more of my absolute favorite makeup and beauty staples.  F through K. F: Face Moisturizer – Revive: Now there are products in this world that are game changers.  They can change the appearance of something almost immediately and I stand behind them 100%…this is one of these products.  However, these products that work miracles

Dress: Rebecca Taylor // Bangles: Cartier, Kenneth Jay Lane and Jade(from China) // Ring: David Yurman I scream, you scream, we all scream for it but I definitely scream the loudest for it…or the voice inside my head does.  If you ever went to Golden Corall and saw the little girl dipping her soft serve directly into the container of sprinkles, her name was Mallory and that wasn’t her first cone.  The struggle.  And my love of a good ice cream has not left me(unfortunately) as my metabolism slowed and it became unacceptable

So…BEAUTY…my most favorite of all!  This is the category I know the most about and have spent the most time perfecting.  And before I take it to the house with my miraculous tutorials I want to teach you the basics real quick.  You can’t start school until you know the ABCs so here are my makeup and beauty ABC’s. I have love affairs with all kinds of products…but these are the ones that are tried and true in my opinion. Each week, or maybe twice

Dress: Sherri Hill // Earrings: Jim Ball // Bracelet: David Yurman // Makeup: Full list coming soon // Lipstick: Bobbi Brown Pink Mauve Liner and Anastasia Beverly Hills Pure Hollywood Liquid Lipstick So this one time I won a pageant. And each year they invite me back where I willingly squeeze myself into a beautiful Sherri Hill gown like a big ole sausage and try and appear elegant whilst standing next to Heather French Henry(the forever Miss America and my friend to whom grace comes easily). I paint my makeup

It’s funny how one thing leads to another in life…especially mine. How growing up in a small town led me to big dreams…singing country music led me to Miss America…Miss America led me to The Amazing Race…The Amazing Race led me to hosting travel shows…….so on and so on…. Through all these travels and experiences I’ve learned a thing or two about a thing or two. About travel, makeup, hair, fashion, people, and life in general, and everyday I have people asking me to share my secrets. Well I’ve never
