I love finding activities for the boys to do that are easy, fun, mess-free(ish) and can even double as decorations! For Valentine’s Day this year, I wanted Ford to do an activity that he loved, but also something I could use to decorate the playroom! I’ll show you everything we did in this post and trust me it’s awesome mainly because it kept him busy for an hour(you get it moms) and he LOVED it. I’m also going to show y’all super simple ways I decorated the boys playroom for Valentine’s Day.
The boys love sugar cookies. I’ll link one of our favorite recipes here & I actually did an entire blog post on just sugar cookies! They’re so easy and I always set aside time to decorate them for each holiday. We always make extra to give to our friends, neighbors or Ford’s teachers!
Sugar cookies can be such a fun activity for your littles to do too. It keeps them busy decorating and by putting parchment paper down on the counter, clean up can be super quick and easy!
The next activity that Ford LOVED to do was decorate these mailboxes. I found this mailbox and this bigger heart box at Target for under $5 and they were perfect for decorating.
Here’s what we used to decorate:
Ford used kid safe glue to glue things on and they stuck perfectly.
Also, I ordered these precious tic-tac-to boards for Ford’s classmates and they turned out perfect! I found this Etsy shop that makes them and I’m obsesssssssed.
I loooooove decorating the play room for holidays, both big and small holidays. I find that little things make a big difference in kid’s spaces. I’ll list everything I found for the playroom here:
Books: I did an entire blog post on our favorite Valentine’s Day books and I’ll link it here.
I thought Ford’s mailbox looked so perfect here and it adds such a special touch to a space the boys love so much!
Happy Valentine’s Season y’all! I can’t end this post without telling you guys how much I LOVE sharing our lives with you!
