Shawn’s Glam: Mallory Ervin (duh)

So since my best friend was just named the most beautiful person in the city, I felt it appropriate to do a post on it.  In the ever expanding city of Nashville there’s a list that comes out every year of the most beautiful people in the city.  All the types of beauty…because you and I both know outer beauty isn’t all that qualifies you as a beauty.

I went to the party sponsored by Grogan Jewelers by Lon and it was so much fun.  Here’s a few shots of my time there…

Dress: Parker // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Necklace and Clutch: Gus Mayer Nashville

And one of my favorite things of the night was meeting our giveaway winner Sarah. So I don’t know if you guys remember, but a couple weeks back I posted about a giveaway where people could post a pic of when they felt their most beautiful and they could be entered to win a trip of a lifetime to Nashville.  So I met the winner! She was so sweet and having the best time and thanks to Stacey Rhodes Boutique and Juel Salon she was feeling like a queen at the party.  Who doesn’t love a free makeover and a trip to the “it” city in the USA right now?! We hung with Sarah, and watched the beautiful people come in and out.

Also there, and on the list this year were Jesse James Decker, a Nashville Predators Player, a Tennessee Titan, Savannah Christly and her father Todd and many more.  I also was able to stop by the Grogans table and try on some of their BEAUTIFUL pieces.  They have literally everything.  I have about 5 things on my Christmas list already.

So I hope you enjoyed my little behind the scenes look into my night at the Nashville Lifestyle’s 25 Most Beautiful People Reveal Party.  And if I might say so myself…I think they picked a great cover girl. Thanks so much for reading and thanks for Grogans for collaborating with me on this.  I’m excited to visit their new location in Cool Springs Mall across from the Apple store! And of course more behind the scenes of the party on my next vlog on my YouTube channel HERE.  And shop the look I wore that night below.

“This post was written by me through an activation with HireInfluence on behalf of Grogan Jewelers by Lon. Although I received compensation for participation in the campaign, all thoughts and opinions are my own.”

You really do need these.  A good pair of over the knee boots will take you all the way through pumpkin picking right into the holidays.  And you don’t have to buy a $700 pair of Stuart Weitzman ones(though I am a big fan of those) there are so many affordable options I’ve found for you.  I’ve styled them two ways for you on todays blog.

Cami: Cami NYC // Shorts: Bloomingdales // Boots: Stuart Weitzman // Sunglasses: Dior

You can really wear them any way, over jeans or leggings, with a dress.  And let’s talk about this cami for a minute.  So I’ve been wearing Cami NYC cami’s for over 2 years…find them HERE. However, recently they’re making a real statement in the fashion world, which I’m fine with that since I ain’t gotta buy something for once in my life.  People are also wearing them over t shirts.  It was all over fashion week.  I prefer them with jeans, under a moto jacket or with shorts, as shown above.

And shorts are absolutely appropriate for transition weather, if weather permits of course…though I’m that crazy one that never dressed for the weather.  In fact, several years back, I wore a fur whilst moving into my college dorm in August.  I made quite the statement…not in a good way.

Tee: Similar Here // Skirt: Similar Here // Boots: Stuart Weitzman // Bag: Jennifer Haley // Hat: Rag and Bone // Scarf: Vintage

This look is a more relaxed one to show how these boots can be worn as the star of a simple outfit.  I am a huge fan of this look paired with a moto jacket as well as it gets cooler.

Here are my faves of the over the knee boots this season at all price points(click the pieces you want and it will take you where to buy)…

Thanks so much for reading guys!! Much more coming soon! And be sure to check out my youtube channel where I post two videos a week HERE!!

Story of my whole life.  I get reeallllll into something and a squirrel runs by and I get distracted. Well, I shifted my attention to my YouTube channel (linked HERE) and my blog became more sporadic, but now it’s cranking and I’m back to juggling both…because duh I have to help you, Christmas is like tomorrow. So let’s talk FALL. I get a head rush when I even type it.  I’ve had a love affair with it for as long as I can remember.  All because of fall fashion!

Jacket: BLANK // Shirt: JETSET DIARIES // Leggings: SPANX // Boots: STUART WEITZMAN// Sunglasses: DIOR

So to me this is a perfect fall look. Layers, heavy and light pieces, BOOTS!! I love the warm hues in this look as well. And it’s perfect with or without the moto jacket.

And lets talk about the moto jacket…if you’re going to buy anything new this fall, this is my pick.  You can go with an edgy one, a suede one, a studded one, whatever you so choose.  Here are some options I’ve found for you…

And before we go, one more thing, over the knee boots…yes I’m a shrimp, and yes I can wear them.  Grand daddy long legs look great in them, as well as my dad’s short muscular wrestling legs. And they are BOMB. I love them so much I bought so many colors.  They’re my new staple.  Here are some options…

Hope you loved this quick fall look and look for many more coming soon! And shop my exact look here.

Thanks so much for reading guys!!

I’ve finally figured out what this means…it’s when you lose all control and buy every single sundress, strappy sandal, swimsuit and cute tank top you see in a feverish frenzy.  I wish there were a cure.  But if there were I wouldn’t have all these fantastic finds for you today.  So spring…I’m really picking up what you’re laying down.  Here’s what I’m loving for my favorite fashion season.

Sweater: Wildfox // Skirt: James Jeans // Bag: Jennifer Haley Handbags (use code MALLORY15 for 15% off)

Cute cardigans and sweaters have been my thing lately.  Because you never know what the weather will be like round these parts.  Here are some other faves of mine…

Cardigan: Wildfox // Tank: Cami NYC //Shorts: One Teaspoon

Sweater: Show Me Your MuMu // Skirt: James Jeans // Cami: Cami NYC // Shoes: Kurt Geiger // Bag: Jennifer Haley Handbags (use code MALLORY15 for 15% off)

And don’t look past the shoes in these pics.  I’m wearing them with everything.  Caged sandals are so in, but finding a comfortable pair is quite a feat.  Ha. But because of the platform on the front of these they’re a dream.  And the best news of all today…you see this clutch I’m carrying…well I’ve got a prize for any of you who may want one too!  I struck a deal with my favorite handbag designer Jennifer Haley(the coolest cat in all the land) and we’ve got a discount code for all of you.  Go to her website HERE.  If you use the code MALLORY15 at checkout you get 15% off your entire order and free shipping.  These bags are handmade in the USA and to die for.  I’ve never rebought bags from the same designer like I do with these.  They make such a statement.  More on them soon…

I’m saving my thousand sundress finds and some super steals for next week…

So I’m all about a flashy trend.  A pattern, a bold color, sequins, a saying, you name it.  So when a trend comes along that’s bold and let’s be honest, a little bit flashy, I’m your girl.  So hello STARSSSS!!!! I’m feeling you in a big way.  Here are my faves of the stars thus far…

Dress: Mara Hoffman // Shoes: Rachel Zoe

This. Dress. I. Die.  Hands down my favorite dress I’ve bought in years.  Its whimsical and feminine and edgy and…ugh everything I’ve ever wanted a dress to be.  I love the details too.  The wrap aspect, the buttons down the front, the blousey back.  It’s just perfect.  We’ll see if I can get away with it for Easter.

Dress: Tularosa // Shoes: Sam Edelman

And then there’s this one…when I tell you I bought every star dress out there…I bought every star dress out there.  This one is one of my favorite fits too.  That no fit kind of fit.  And the navy mixed with the gold stars is so dreamy.  I love the material of this piece too.  It reminds me of pieces I’ve found in India and around the world.  This will be one of my goto casual frocks this spring and summer. I feel all regal and olympic and patriotic in Nashville these days sporting my stars.  Here are some of my other finds I’m getting all starry eyed about…click any image you’re interested in and it will take you right to the site to buy!

Thanks so much for reading my friends!!  Don’t forget to check out my weekly YouTube videos HEREAnd look for lots more now that blah winter has come and gone.  Let’s get ready for spring my fashionable friends.
