Lord knows we need some comfort food these days. We transitioned our garden from summer to winter and the tomatoes just wouldn’t quit, we’ve had massive amounts, so I’ve been on a tomato kick. As we transition into fall and winter tomato soup has always been a favorite of mine so here’s a go to recipe to finish out this wild year!
Grilled Cheese Recipe:
Ingredients:
-4 1/2 inch slices fresh sourdough bread
-Any type of cheese
-1 lemon, zested
Tomato Soup Recipe:
Ingredients:
-1 tablespoon butter
-1/2 cup diced onion
-2 cloves garlic
-pinch of red pepper flakes
-1 12 ounce can crushed tomatoes
-3/4 cup chicken broth or water
-3 tablespoons heavy cream
-half of a fresh tomato
-salt and pepper
I found the cutest pumpkin bowls here and spooned the soup into them! They’re perfect if you’re wanting to entertain for a fall party or just a dinner.
